Painted library ladder marked B.N. Paris from the Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris, c. 1920-1930. Originally used in the national library of Paris. Has six rungs plus top platform with back gallery of turned spools and iron handle on the left side for support when reaching the higher levels of the stacks in the National Library.
