Late nineteenth century walnut architect's desk with adjustable height, red leather writing surface, extendable leaf, and single drawer. Top lifts up to reveal interior space for storage. The brass plaque bears the name of this specialized desk, Table Feret, named for the engineer who invented it. This piece was exhibited at the World's Fair in 1889. Rare find.
