Nineteenth century marquetry meuble de maitrise or miniature armoire with silver mirrored door and single lower dovetailed drawer. Was the masterwork of the apprentice at the end of his apprenticeship with the cabinet maker. Intricate marquetry on all four sides, the back, and the top includes hand cut pieces of walnut, lemonwood, rosewood, and ebonized pear wood. c. 1880.
