Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us at French Metro Antiques. We accept returns of website purchases for full refund (less original shipping and packing costs and credit card fees charged to French Metro). If you intend to make a return, notify us within 48 hours of receiving your purchase(s). All returns require authorization by French Metro Antiques. Refund will be issued if merchandise is returned in its original condition within 14 days of authorization. Original shipping and packing costs cannot be refunded. Return shipping is at the client's expense, and full insurance during return shipping is required. Credit card payments will be refunded in the form a credit to the original credit card used at the time of purchase. Check payments will be returned via a refund check. All in-store sales are final. We do not accept returns for purchases made in our shop.
If you find something at French Metro Antiques that you would like to place on layaway, let us know or simply add to cart and at checkout select “I am interested in discussing my layaway options.”
French Metro Antiques offers a layaway plan with an initial payment of one third down. The remaining balance is paid in two equal payments after thirty and sixty days. Clients are mailed monthly statements until the balance has been paid in full. We accept VISA, Mastercard, and Discover, personal and business checks, cashier’s checks, money orders and wire transfers. Once payment has been received in full, you may pick up your item(s) from our shop or we will arrange to ship your item(s) to you (shipping charges apply).
A 1.5% finance fee on any unpaid balance is charged if payments are not received in full at the end of 60 days. A late fee of $10 is incurred if payments are not received on time. In case of cancellation of a layaway purchase, French Metro Antiques retains a restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price. Should you default on the layaway, you will be contacted by email. If you do not reply within 5 days, you will be contacted by phone. If we are unable to reach you, and you make no effort to contact us within 10 business days of our default notice, French Metro Antiques will retain the 20% restocking fee and will place your item(s) back in our collection for sale.
