Napoleon III Marquetry Tea Box

Nineteenth century Napoleon III period marquetry tea box with inlaid bronze and tortoise shell. Interior has outer lids and two inner lids to keep loose tea leaves in place. c. 1860. Originally owned by Leon Boissier Palun (1916-2007), former Senegalese ambassador in London and Paris. No key.
